Elizabeth Eakes grew up in rural Maryland, where she encountered many weird and wild animals in her backyard. She loves to read, write, teach, and learn! Elizabeth is a certified elementary educator with a BA in Global Studies and an MS in Professional Writing. Elizabeth has an essay published in Croak, photography featured in Grub Street, and is a co-author on a peer-reviewed paper published by IEEE. She is the author of a children’s nonfiction book for Sourcebooks, forthcoming May 2026.
