The Eleventh Annual Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival

Please complete the form. Filling out and submitting this registration form means you are committing to being present at the Festival should your application be approved. For our Eleventh year we will be selecting between 25 authors/illustrators. Those with a new book out in 2025/26 will be given preference. Audience: Pre-K thru 8th grade children

Talbot County has a diverse population, and we hope to find authors and illustrators that represent diverse backgrounds. Mostly traditionally published author’s books will be chosen. We will accept a few self-published authors but physical copies of self published books must be reviewed before acceptance.

Applications must be in by Friday, January 31, 2026. Applicants will be notified in March. The festival will be held in the Talbot County Free Library, Easton Branch.

BOOK SALES: Authors must bring and sell their own books. We give free book vouchers to attendees who sign up for the TCFL Summer Reading Challenge. Authors will be paid by the festival for any books bought with the vouchers. For publicity, please list 3 titles in the order they were published, newest first. You can sell as many titles as you like at the festival.
