Ana Arada

The Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival – June 6th, 2026

Ana is a kidlit author, illustrator, muralist and art instructor from Mexico City living in Brooklyn, NY. Her work has been featured in galleries and museums in the United States, France, Mexico, Italy, Norway and Japan. She has painted murals for the de Young Museum in San Francisco and for the Cultural Institute of the Embassy of Mexico in the U.S. in Washington, D.C.\r\nHer work can be found in picture books in France, Italy, the United States and South Korea. Some of her titles include “Our Day of the Dead Celebration” (Penguin Paulsen) and “How to Make a Memory” (S&S Wiseman).
