Suzanne Bloom

suzannebloom.com

Drawing, painting, making things, reading and writing have always been my stepping stones. I graduated from Cooper Union, was an architectural renderer and made wooden toys. Then I jumped from the dusty, noisy workshop into my messy, sun-filled studio surrounded by pencils and ideas.

Eighteen books later there are still stories and characters to explore.

My favorite compliment is from a 3rd grade boy in Texas: “Ma’am, you were born to draw.”
